Udinese are set to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Lazar Samardgic. Sky Sport Italia reports that the 19-year-old midfielder arrived in Italy on Wednesday. The players are preparing to undergo a medical examination on Thursday. If there is no problem, the team will be announced after that.
The report reveals that Samardgic is worth around €3 million, with Leipzig adding a future transfer clause to the contract.
The 19-year-old has signed a contract with Udinese until 2026, with Leipzig initially reportedly keen on loan. But the player refused because he wanted to move the team permanently to determine his future.
Samardgic came from Hertha Berlin’s youth team before being brought in by Leipzig for 500,000 euros last year. But returned to the field only 9 matches.
The playing position of the 19-year-old is the attacking midfielder behind the striker. But can be rocked to play along the left side of the path as well.
